Overview

In this chapter you will learn about Backing up and Restoring your Instances

Backups allow you to make a snapshot of your instance state or export some part of it to a file. Full backups work like snapshots, and allow you to save the current state of your instance and files into a backup object. [block:callout] { "type": "warning", "title": "Limits:", "body": "- Currently Syncano allows for 25 backups per account\n- Only one backup can be scheduled per instance\n- Only one restore can be scheduled per instance" } [/block] ### Backup Statuses There are 5 possible status options for backups: - `scheduled` - backup was scheduled for creation - `running` - backup is being created - `uploading` - backup archive is being uploaded to storage space - `success` - backup was completed and is available for restore - `error` - there was an issue when creating your backup
